Shaykh Muhammad Jebril is regarded as a veteran Qāri' in the Muratti form of Qur'ān reading. He has consistently produced recitations that inspire awe and engagement with the Qur'ān. An Egyptian by origin, he is internationally known for his elevating reading style.
He was named the Imām of the famous mosque of 'Amr Ibn al-'Āş in Cairo in 1988. He remains their honorary and guest Imām for leading tārawiḥ prayers every Ramadan, where thousands of devotees attend to pray behind him. He is also especially known for his moving and emotional du'ā qunūts (invocations during prayer), which are widely available in the Arab world.
These recordings are taken from his Murattal Series, which are amongst his personal best and read with melodic profundity and precision.
A unique, fully referenced 28 page muṣḥaf enclosed, containing Surah Al-Fātiha and the entire Surah Al- Baqarah to support learning and memorisation of these two great chapters of the Holy Qur’ān.
